Went to vote today in New Branfels at midmorning—not too busy, just geezers like me.
Pretty much voted GOP except for Lamar Smith, who torked me off with his SOPA laws. So voted for the Libertarian or Liberty or whomever candidate instead. I have no doubt Smith will win his bazillionth term to congress, but this was just my little protest vote.
Voted for Romney/Ryan even though they are a slam-dunk for TX’s electoral votes. I figure if Obama wins the Electoral College and a second term, at least I might have added to Romney’s popular vote count. Not that winning the popular vote did Al Gore any good in ’00. It’s the little things that count, don’t ya know? lol
Also voted for Cruz, Campbell, and mostly GOPers except for all the judicial positions that I didn’t think I was informed enough to decide. Being from Illinois, I was not prepared to be voting for so much “democracy” here; in Illinois the political (mostly Dem) poobahs decide for you in a back room, which makes “choice” a non-issue. lol
While I was waiting for Mr. Observer to finish voting, I chatted with a poll worker who expressed relief this ordeal was finally over saying “it feels like we’ve been working on this election for four years.”
Amen, sister.
