Stanley McChyrstal of command and replaced him with Gen. David Petraeus.<\/a> Petraeus (or, <a href=\"http:\/\/webcache.googleusercontent.com\/search?q=cache:F-FnXGdJ4VQJ:pol.moveon.org\/petraeus.html+%22General+Betray+Us%22&#038;cd=1&#038;hl=en&#038;ct=clnk&#038;gl=us&#038;client=firefox-a\">as Moveon.org once referred to him as, &#8220;General Betray Us&#8221;<\/a>) taking over is probably good news, especially given <a href=\"http:\/\/www.michaelyon-online.com\/michael-yons-criticism-of-mcchrystal-deemed-prophetic.htm\">Michael Yon&#8217;s criticisms of McChyrstal<\/a>. Perhaps Petraeus can beef up our counter-insurgency campaign in Afghanistan, and possibly convince Obama that setting a deadline for withdrawal is a bad idea. <\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m sure howls of outrage about the firing from those on the left who condemned Bush for not &#8220;listening to the generals&#8221; will happen any minute now.
