Austin Pays $10,000 A Day To Indoctrinate APD In Critical Race Theory, Demands Officers Sign “Contract” Before Even Taking Class

Austin is paying a consultant $10,000 a day to indoctrinate police in Critical Race Theory under the name of “Groundwater Analysis”:

The person they contracted with specializes in teaching Critical Race Theory. “Systemic racism,” “equity,” the whole nine yards.

But wait. It gets worse.

Attendees are required to agree to a “contract” stating that attendees must agree to certain conditions before taking the class, including:

  • Not taking notes
  • Not to talk about the class outside the class (“Vega rule”)
  • They must agree that the United States, Texas, Austin and APD are institutionally racist.
  • So before even taking the class, student are required to agree with the racist tenets of hard left Critical Race Theory.

That’s a Soviet May Day parade of red flags, and probably illegal under Texas law, both due to being signed under duress and because there is no “mutual consideration” between the two parties. (Also note how the facilitator made sure that no lawyers were in attendance before offering up this “contract.”)

Requiring APD officers to attend such a course, and agree to such terms a priori, is both unamerican and probably illegal.

There’s no “probably” about it. I’m no fan of police unions but this is exactly why they exist.

The more marginal issue would be the contract itself.

The choice for Americans is simple: if you want further destruction of the country and further pushing of toxic racist garbage like this propaganda in Austin—what a grift!—in government, business, and schools, then vote for Democrats. If you think this garbage spells doom for our country, then vote Republican. *But* that alone is not sufficient. You have to get involved and be vigilant and make sure Republican politicians are making every effort to expunge this racist ideology from being forced on people and especially on our children. Join the fight against the bigots! Proclaim loudly and proudly that you favor a society where all people are treated the same!

Joyce James CRT training given to police candidates under duress – bad.
James Joyce CRT training – in a weird Irish stream-of-consciousness – I would pay good money to see this.

Austinites should be livid at this waste of taxpayer money, but Austinites seem to be pretty much a waste anyway.
      Not MY Texas~!!!

I am not from Texas, but a lifelong resident of what used to be the great state of Michigan. Today, not so much. The thing is, I used to think that Texas was a completely right wing, conservative state, with that western self sufficient, rugged individual type persona.
Then I grew up. And I learned that just like the state of Michigan from my youth is now a shadow of it’s former self, the state of Texas now has changed, it seems. I don’t blame the native Texans, of course. It is most likely transplants from liberal states, especially in recent years. And of course, as I have learned more, I also know that it is just like my state, where the large urban areas have dragged the state leftward, in a unending march to Marxism, it would seem.
Where Michigan has Detroit, Dearborn, and the other southeast Democrat controlled strongholds that control the states politics, Texas seem like it has Austin and Houston and some of the other liberal cities that make it bad for all of the rest of Texas to live the way that they want to live.
I know that I have said a few times that I am glad that my parents are no longer around to see the things that have happened to our nation. My dad was a UAW grey iron worker, a Democrat most of his life. At the end, that changed, as even he became disgusted with the crap that they were starting to pull. I have no answers, but I hope that somehow, at the least, we can see fair, and truthful elections in the coming years. If not, I fear for the nation of my children and grandchildren.

for every ballot you cast, the democrats can cast a hundred.

“in a unending march to Marxism”

the reason the march continues – strategically directed, intensely focused, endlessly funded, proudly dismissive of all opposition, arrogantly contemptuous of any number of citizens arrayed against it, generation after generation – is because you haven’t identified exactly who it is that is behind it all. because all your life, you’ve been taught not to, to ignore them, to not look at them, to think well of them.

once you identify them, it all comes clear.

And do these lovely women have big strong men there to do their bidding? Or is it possible that a non-signing officer could merely smirk and continue to sit there, regardless of their wish that he remove his toxic masculinity from their holy presence?

“And do these lovely women have big strong men there to do their bidding?”

yeah, probably the chief. he ain’t all that big and strong but he authorizes the paychecks.

would be nice to see the entire APD refuse en masse.
