Vaccine mandates are astonishingly unpopular with everyone but the ideological core members of leftwing ruling parties.

It occurred to me that these Canadian truckers convoying across Canada are paying their own way for fuel and food. There is no deep pockets “Right Wing” billionaire subsidizing them. Also the time they spend of this protest takes away from their earning potential.
These people must be dedicated to their goal to make such a personal sacrifice to pursue it.
All those thousands of truckers protesting are also absenting themselves from the supply chain for the duration. How long before supplies of food and other essentials start to dwindle— in the midst of a Canadian winter? The government can’t force those truckers to resume hauling cargo. If Trudeau somehow disbanded the convoys, those men could simply cease driving in protest and disrupt the supply chain. If even 20% of Canadian truckers opted to park their rigs for just a week, what would cities look like after?
Yet Trudeau’s government responds by demonizing the truckers and doubling down on its unpopular mandates. And play a game of chicken with that nation’s supplies of food and fuel…
