China’s Lockdowns: Even Crazier

Evidently those Chinese Flu Manchu lockdowns are even crazier than we thought:

  • In Hunan, Chinese authorties have built literally hundreds of temporary quarantine facilities on roads “as far as the eye can see.”
  • The Uighurs in Xinjiang (remember them?) have been under continuous lockdown since August 13th.
  • In Xining City in Qinghai province (next to Tibet), some people have been locked down in a wet market for over 40 days.
  • No matter how crazy China seems to get under Xi Jinping, it shows the amazing ability to always get crazier…

CCP’s plan for Xinjiang and Tibet is to outbreed the locals. Unfortunately for CCP, Han Chinese aren’t breeding in China. So they have to go to the 2nd option, genocide.

    2. The Peak Stupidity blog has something like a dozen posts on this Chinese revival of their PanicFest, dubbed Covid~Zero – see them under the key Kung Flu Stupidity.*

As sick and Totalitarian as our own PanicFest was, Americans may cheer themselves up by realizing that “Stupidity does not stop at the California coastline”.

I had high hopes for China, but they’ve been dashed as the country has gone from “Cash is King” only a decade ago to “1984 was kid stuff!”

      * Yeah, I like “Flu Manchu” better, but we’re sticking to it..

I don’t think they’re terrified of covid. They’re terrified of looking like they’re not in control of covid. *Appearance* of being in control is everything to the CCP. And, TBH, that’s true of every other socialist state. It’s one of the most important tools to keep the proletariat subjugated.

“Chinese officials are terrified of covid, moreso even than our own. What do they know that we don’t?”

Two possible explanations, here: One, they do know something we don’t about the disease, which would not be surprising given that they developed it. That’s a theory that sort of falls down on the whole issue of why on earth they’d develop a war-pathogen with the characteristics of the COVID virus, and if they do have some kind of legit fear of its effects, then why aren’t they going even more draconian on the countermeasures, as in “Kill the victims; burn the bodies…”

Second explanation is twofold: They really are this stupid, and that they’re doing it to distract the populace from the crash in the Chinese economy. By doing what they are, they can point to COVID and say “Yeah, the economy crashing wasn’t our fault… Blame COVID, that’s why your savings are gone, along with your jobs…”

I’ve always looked at the Chinese reaction to COVID as being really over-the-top for what the disease has turned out to be. In actual fact, the various flu pandemics did more killing than COVID has, so far, and all without damaging the economy as much as this has. The reaction was what did the damage, as with most things.

Which leads to the question “Why’d the Chinese government (Read: CCP) react like this…?” I think it has two components to it, in that they wanted to panic everyone else into over-reacting (which they managed handily) and they wanted to distract their people from noticing how badly they were managing the economy in China.

      Mission accomplished, I think.

Whether or not there’s something lurking deeper in the genome of COVID, I do not know. I would submit that that isn’t entirely unlikely, but it remains possible. However, I don’t think anyone is at that level of genetic engineering, yet.
