The Oklahoma Department of Corrections lists his birthdate as 08/16/1984 and gives his vital statistics as “Black Male; 6 ft. 0 in. tall; 198 pounds; Black hair; Brown eyes.”
He has four tattoos, including one reading AS-SALAAMU ATAIKUM (the traditional Muslim greeting of “Peace be upon you”).
He has a long criminal rap sheet including multiple drug charges, escape from detention and assault on a police officer.
His attack was stopped by a lawful gun owner: “Mark Vaughan, who is the chief operating officer of Vaughan Foods and is also an Oklahoma County reserve deputy, confronted Nolen, and at that time shot him and stopped the threat and the assault.”
His Facebook Page shows a propensity for SCREAMING CAPITAL LETTERS in his Muslim proselytizing.
As of this writing he has 1,554 Facebook friends.

A Twitter user reports: “The Oklahoma press conference is long over and the probably 30-40 muslims are still hanging around. Some passing out pro-islam literature…I must note none of the muslims have mentioned violence yet none have condemned this attack.”

An interesting piece on a David Dewhurst proposal (or maybe just a trial balloon idea) for, not an illegal alien amnesty “path to citizenship,” but a path to a work visa, in which “if an undocumented/Illegal resident paid for thumb prints, criminal background checks, and verification of residence, we could grant them a two year Visa…renewable only if they have not been convicted of a felony and have paid their taxes.” I’m not sure if this is the right place to mention it. I’m not in complete agreement with the writer, but I will say that Dewhurst’s proposal is far from the worst illegal alien proposal I’ve read.
Back on October 11, I noted that Cruz had picked up the endorsements of “over 115 leaders of the Texas Federation of Republican Women.” The Cruz campaign has now upped that count to over 200 leader Republican women.
Still waiting for Democrats Paul Sadler to put up a campaign website, and Jason Gibson to put up one that’s more than a placeholder. Come on people, putting up a page with a brief bio and a donation link is not that freaking hard. With Daniel Boone not having updated his pages in over a month, maybe Sean Hubbard will capture the Democratic nomination simply because he can update his Facebook and Twitter feeds.

I still don’t feel like I have a good handle on the Tunisian Revolution yet. (Indeed, my fingers keep wanting to type “Tunesian,” which suggests a government based on iTunes…) Jihadi? Non-Jihadi? Both? (Probably the the last.) But the fact that the government-owned ISPs were running a massive “man in the middle” attack by capturing every password for Facebook (and what the Facebook team did about it, certainly suggests that the (semi-deposed) government were no angels. In fact, it brings back memories of East Germany, where Stasi monitoring stations were literally built right on top of telephone exchanges…

Though I’m going to be concentrating heavily on election coverage the next three weeks, the rest of the world doesn’t stop just because the U.S. is having an election. Advice Goddess Amy Alkon recently got in touch on Facebook via a mutual (non-political) friend. (Yes, I’m on Facebook. No, I don’t take friend requests from people I don’t already have some sort of personal connection to, which excludes most political figures; as one friend put it, “I don’t friend anyone on Facebook who couldn’t pick me out of a police lineup.” I also don’t post political links on my Facebook feed. What would be the point?) Anyway, she’s been doing a lot of coverage on the Jihad front. This week she links the complete text of this Geert Wilders speech that’s well worth reading.
Sadly, the grand poobahs at Facebook have caved into the Islamic Extremists: the main Everybody Draw Mohammed Day Facebook page has been “disappeared” in the last hour or so; clicking on it just brings you back to your main Facebook page.
Some are wondering if this demonstration of First Amendment rights will have any influence on the real world. Given that the Pakistani government has blocked Facebook over the Everybody Draw Mohammed Day group there, I would say that it already has. If we allow ourselves to have the limits of our freedom of expressions set by the most extremist elements of global radical Islam, then the First Amendment is doomed.
So all those who oppose letting the First Amendment wither under the twin assaults of radical Islam and political correctness should get drawing!
