Russia grinds Ukraine like wheat in a mill, being ground down itself.
Why is there no push for peace?
Russia has real national security concerns.
When Mexico lets China put missiles on our borders, we might understand Russia’s security concerns.

  2. Kirk says:

Why does Russia get this magical deference over their security concerns? Don’t their neighbors deserve the same thing? I mean, if I were Poland, I’d want a healthy boundary between myself and Russia… Say, about the size of Belarus.

See where that goes? If Russia had respect for the borders of their neighbors in the first damn place, nobody would need a damn buffer. Quit making up justifications for what the Russians are doing.

Frankly, f*ck ’em. Russia and then the Soviets have done more to screw up the world than any ten other countries I could name, and they’ve never paid the price for it. Who was it, again, that willingly signed the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact in order to rape Poland…? Who sent Nazi Germany all the resources they needed to take the rest of Western Europe?

Without Stalin and the Soviet Union, WWII would have looked very different, and a hell of a lot shorter. They’ve continually done the same damn thing since the time of the Golden Horde… Muscovy sold out their neighbors for “special considerations” from the Mongols, and then used that to build themselves a little empire.

I honestly don’t give a f*ck for Russian “national security concerns”. They deserve to sleep badly at night, with everything they’ve done down the years. Ask anyone in the Baltic states, or the Crimean Tatars.

Again: What makes Russia special, that they get to make “buffers” out of other states? Why don’t other states get to make “buffers” out of Russian territory? Given history, they’ve got rather more justification than the Russians do…

Mexico has no voice in such a matter except that which the Cartels allow them – Cartels that are dealing in Chinese sourced drugs.

    Bingo, Kirk, Bingo.

  6. John Oh says:

If you want to understand this war look at the response of the governments and the people in Poland, Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, Finland. These are the people with the most to lose and they are scared out of their minds. Put aside the Ukrainian corruption and all the other stuff and look what the war means to those closest to the problem. And the problem is Russia. And look at how the CCP is on a charm offensive in central asia and africa “work with us and we’ll all prosper” (they don’t need to mean it, it’s the contrast) compared to how little Putin did to make getting closer to Russia attractive for Ukraine.

  7. Paul C says:

Before the start of Putin’s War in 2014, Ukraine and Ukrainians were a Russophile nation and people. More liking Russia than Canadians the US. What could be better, eh?

But Putin, and the forever Moscow eternal Mafia wanted more,if not all of the Soviet Union back. You know, to help people, that kind of reason. Honest. Look it up. Putin says so all the time.

  8. Lawrence Person says:

Actually, I think Putin’s mafia enablers are Saint Petersburg-based.
