Paxton Sues NGO For Aiding Illegal Alien Invasion

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton took time out from his busy schedule of suing the Biden Administration to sue an NGO aiding the Biden Administration’s illegal alien invasion.

The legal battle between Attorney General Ken Paxton and the non-governmental organization (NGO) Annunciation House, a nonprofit Catholic charity, has a new development after Paxton stated he has reviewed documents that show the group’s “operations are designed to facilitate illegal border crossings and to conceal illegally present aliens from law enforcement.”

Paxton has filed a temporary injunction in an effort “to halt its systemic criminal conduct in Texas.”

“Any NGO facilitating the unlawful entry of illegal aliens into Texas is undermining the rule of law and potentially jeopardizing the safety and wellbeing of our citizens,” said Paxton in a press release. “All NGOs who are complicit in Joe Biden’s illegal immigration catastrophe and think they are above the law should consider themselves on notice.”

Included in the 585-page legal filing is recorded testimony from an employee with Annunciation House.

According to the filing, Annunciation House’s executive director “regularly admits aliens that it knows came into the country illegally; and chooses not to require any form of identification from its guests.”

Additionally, the director “admitted that Annunciation House refuses essentially any and all law enforcement requests to enter the premises in the absence of a warrant.”

In March, an El Paso judge blocked a previous lawsuit Paxton had filed against Annunciation House. The judge was critical of Paxton’s motivations, stating, “There is a real and credible concern that the attempt to prevent Annunciation House from conducting business in Texas was predetermined.”

“Both the Attorney General and Annunciation House are now obliged to litigate this matter within the guidelines set forth by the Texas Rules of Civil Procedure, created to ensure fair play between litigants,” the judge wrote.

Paxton filed the initial lawsuit after Annunciation House did not produce documents and records sought by the Office of the Attorney General (OAG). The nonprofit said it was only given “one day to turn over a broad swath of records to the Attorney General without an explanation.”

Founded in 1978, Annunciation House is filed as a 501(c)3 organization, which allows it to be recognized as a nonprofit charitable, religious, or educational organization that receives tax-exempt status from the Internal Revenue Service.

The organization says it has “hosted over 500,000 migrants, refugees, and immigrants from over 40 countries.”

The illegal alien invasion of America is being guided and funded by radical leftwing entities (NGOs and others) in cooperation with the Biden Administration. Ken Paxton and Texas have proven that the states don’t have to take this conspiracy to break the law lying down.

Can the businesses negatively impacted by illegal immigrant activities sue these NGOs for tortious interference? You know, use Alinsky’s rules against them. Ought to be a lot of lawfare available to shut down the left.

Even more important than holding them accountable is naming names. Names from the very top of these organizations and especially their top funders if it can be managed. If people really want this to stop they’re going to have to start going after the people whose ideas these are instead of the organizations doing their dirty work. They can afford to lose hundreds of those.

Names. Names can be targeted. Names can be found.

  3. Malthus says:

Ruben Garcia, host of the Annunciation House, is said to have enabled thousands of illegal immigrants to violate US law.

From the 13th Chapter of Romans as translated in the Catholic (Douay-Rheims) version of the Bible:

1.) Everyone is to obey the governing authorities, because there is no authority except from God and so whatever authorities exist have been appointed by God.

2.) So anyone who disobeys an authority is rebelling against God’s ordinance; and rebels must expect to receive the condemnation they deserve.

A man like Ruben Garcia, who imperils the safety of El Paso residents by exposing them to criminal invaders is justifiably condemned by man’s law and God’s alike. He should be fined, his smuggling operation shut down and then he should be openly rebuked by his clergy.

This absolutely has to happen, and it needs to go exponentially further.

All these “charity” organizations that enable this crap? They’re aiding and abetting the destruction of our country. They won’t admit it, but that’s what they’re doing.

After all, who was it that decided to bring in hordes of Somalis to Minnesota, of all places? Talk to the various and sundry Lutheran do-gooder charities.

They’re also getting subsidized by the Feds, which is another thing that needs to stop. Our tax dollars are paying for them to bring these people in, so that they can skew the census and become Democrat clients. That’s the outcome that they’re working towards, and if you don’t believe me, just look at their own damn paperwork.

To my mind, the various and sundry “foundations” and other NGO structures are the modern version of the medieval monasteries; Henry VIII had to destroy those, in order to save England from the depredations of the transnational forces of his time, as well. We badly need to defund all these freaks, from the Ford Foundation to Harvard, and then make them work for a damn living. Half the “homeless problem” is down to the fact that we’re paying people to make it all worse.

Frankly, if you give money to any of these vectors of self-destruction? You’re a damn fool. I say we confiscate all their funding and pay off the national debt that they’ve pushed everyone into taking on…

I would not burn down the whole house just to kill a rat. Let everything be done by due process, without which no man should be deprived of life, liberty or property.

Ken Paxton enjoys a very favorable win/loss ratio in the courts. Reuben Garcia may present his case and there let him be judged according to our laws.

“I would not burn down the whole house just to kill a rat. Let everything be done by due process, without which no man should be deprived of life, liberty or property.”

Nice sentiments that I once might have agreed upon.

However, the sad fact is that we’re now well past the point where “due process” is even a thing… Or, have you not noticed what they’ve done with the judicial system? With considerable “help” from all these NGO entities. Who funds the cretins protesting on the campuses, again? Who funds the campaigns for the district attorneys that “look the other way” for leftist crimes, and punish their opponents with draconian vigor?

I don’t know what you think is going to happen over the next few years, but I would not count on “due process” being a part of it. Anywhere. When the rat infestation reaches the point where they’re eating you alive, the only real answer is burn it all down and build afresh.

I would love to see sanity reign, but I’m also realistic enough to know that isn’t a probability.

I would like to see the law reign—Lex Rex— and believe Ken Paxton is just the man to enforce it.

And Sen. Cruz’s opponent is hosting a website that offers “red cards’ to illegals to advise them how to avoid dealing with immigration authorities, law enforcement, etc . . . . this is ah orchestrated invasion supported by liberal/democratic-funded organizations AND democratic legislators . . .
