Taking A Sick Day

Yesterday my legs felt rubbery, and today they’re absolutely leaden. Worse still I was blowing from both ends of my gastrointestinal track, heralding the arrival of some sort of stomach flu, which I haven’t had a bout of in almost 30 years. I’m drinking water to stay hydrated and avoid having the dry heaves, but doing very little else other than sleeping and trying to find the medium between Too Hot and Too Cold. I haven’t thrown up in a few hours, and hope to keep it that way. My legs are feeling every-so-slightly-less rubbery.

These things generally just need to run their course, and I’m probably going to be out of action for a day or two. So maybe expect some lazy blogging this week.

Thanks for your support!

First, your dog is injured and now you become ill. I hope your wife is spared or your household will.resemble a hospital ward.

Thanks for the daily war updates. I fully expect you will recover sooner than Iran’s War Cabinet officials.

Ahh yes, the ol’ “Two Exits, No Waiting” flu. Not a lot of laffs and only time and flat ginger ale will do the trick.

That was going around here last week. Add in tree pollen, and it just makes for a day to rest. Get well.

I’m unmarried, so I still have to walk and feed my dogs myself.

I am feeling better today after plenty of sleep, so I’m hoping I can keep some crackers down.

I hope you feel better real soon! Electrolytes…green tea made in microwave is easy…when you’re better, sanitize everything you touched during the attack to make sure the little beasties aren’t waiting to go at it again :-)

That sounds miserable. Hope you’re doing better soon!
