After his conviction he filed to be declared indigent. For his appeals he’s being represented pro bono by private attorneys, including one from Ben Crump’s law firm. Other than that, Shoe’s overview is correct.
On October 3, 1995, O.J. Simpson was acquitted on two counts of first-degree murder for the killings of Nicole Brown and Ron Goldman. Karmelo Anthony murdered half as many whites, so there may have been an expectation in some quarters that he too would be freed so as to go commit additional crimes.
