I seem to be having an intermittent database connection problem for old posts. Not seeing it right now, but if you see it crop up again, let me know.
One of the bloggers who showed up at Borepatch’s blogmeet was “That Guy” from Rock in a Sea of Chaos. That seems like a sufficient excuse to add another Austin gun blogger to the blogroll, so here he is…
This week I’ve been having some fairly heinous performance issues with the blog, as in “takes 30 second to a minute to load the dashboard” heinous. After some song and dance from BlueHost support (“CPU throttling! Chinese hackers!”), they took the server (and thus my blog) offline to resolve the issue.
Both server and blog are now back up, and things are generally better performance-wise (if still not exactly snappy).
Newly added to the blogroll: Zero Hedge, for all your DOOM-y international economic news needs.
Also consider this your “I didn’t have time to put up an extensive blog post” post…
It’s a new year, so here are a few long-overdue administrative updates to the blogroll.
Other notes:
Any Texas blogs I’m missing you think should be up here?
Yet again.
We’ll see if I can fix it later in the day. Maybe I can get a reader to do a new graphic for my header…
Update: Defaulting back to the base header color because evidently Nothing Else Works with the version of PHP Bluehost has foisted on me, because it’s evidently too stupid to use standard HTML colors.
Might have something to do with Bluehost upgrading PHP.
I’ll look into it…
Update: It’s back up now, via a PHP reversion.
I didn’t even know Twitter had a daily limit for sending tweets, but evidently I exceeded it livetweeting the Presidential debate. Fortunately that didn’t kick in until the very end.
Anyway, if you follow me on Twitter, you might send out a note to that effect, just in case people wonder where I went…
In addition to the Ted Cruz interview, I have a longish post on a very packed political Saturday that I’m still fleshing out. Unfortunately, today has been too busy to either finish that or to comment on any of a dozen storylines (the debt ceiling vote, Syria, the impotent fury of the MSM over the power of the Tea Party, etc.) begging for comment.
So instead of actual content, here’s a random video (not mine) of Golden Retriever puppies (also not mine, though I do have one Golden I’ll be walking right after I post this…):
