Blogroll Addition: Conservative Treehouse/The Last Refuge

Tuesday, February 6th, 2018

On a comment on yesterday’s post, someone suggested I follow Conservative Treehouse/The Last Refuge. Actually, I have been following them, as indicated here. But they’re right in that it’s high time to add them to the blogroll, which I’ve done.

I don’t buy 100% of their deductions of the shape of various events, but their hit rate is high enough to merit inclusion here for the Clinton/Obama/FBI/DOJ/FISA/Unmasking scandularity (as Stephen Green calls it).

Blogroll Addition: Judicial Watch

Thursday, September 21st, 2017

I’ve gone ahead and added Judicial Watch to the Blogroll under Think Tanks/Etc. Judicial Watch carried out a crucial role in uncovering several aspects of Hillary Clitnon’s Emailgate scandal, and continue to discover and document misdeeds by public officials through targeted Freedom of Information Act requests. Indeed, their work was so valuable, I signed up as a donating member.

They’re worth your time and attention.

Welcome Empower Texans To The Blogroll

Thursday, September 8th, 2016

Here’s another link I’ve been meaning to add to the blogroll for a while: Empower Texans. Michael Quinn Sullivan’s group (a companion organization to Texans for Fiscal Responsibility) does a good job of covering Texas political news and drawing attention to government abuses.

Well worth checking out.

Welcome Cal Watchdog to the Blogroll

Tuesday, September 1st, 2015

Keeping with with California’s ongoing descent into a failed state is a never-ending task. That’s why I’m adding Cal Watchdog to the blogroll, a long overdue move.

Do check them out if you like the Texas vs> California roundup…

Blogroll Addition: Social Justice Warriors: Do Not Engage

Tuesday, January 13th, 2015

Today’s blogroll addition is Will Shetterly’s Social Justice Warriors: Do Not Engage blog (or SJWar for short).

Will is fellow science fiction writer, and not only is he a leftist, he’s an actual socialist. But he’s done a fine job documenting and opposing the ant-free-speech agenda of the SJW set, especially in the realm of science fiction.

I kept meaning to add SJWar to the blogroll for a while, but every time I was about to, Will would go “That’s it, I quit, blog’s over!” only to start it up again a few days later to document the latest SJW offense logic or the principles of a free society. Here’s a bon mot on the Charlie Hebdo killings today: “Saying the speech of someone who was murdered went too far is like saying the clothes of a rape victim were too provocative.”

I’ve created a new Victimhood Identity Politics category to list SJWar under, and have moved The Other McCain (which has featured R. S. McCain’s masterful dissections of core feminist texts and dogmas for quite a while) there as well.

Blogroll Addition: Rock in a Sea of Chaos

Friday, May 30th, 2014

One of the bloggers who showed up at Borepatch’s blogmeet was “That Guy” from Rock in a Sea of Chaos. That seems like a sufficient excuse to add another Austin gun blogger to the blogroll, so here he is…

Blogroll Addition: Zero Hedge

Monday, January 27th, 2014

Newly added to the blogroll: Zero Hedge, for all your DOOM-y international economic news needs.

Also consider this your “I didn’t have time to put up an extensive blog post” post…

Blogroll Cleaning

Thursday, January 2nd, 2014

It’s a new year, so here are a few long-overdue administrative updates to the blogroll.

  • Added Texas Conservative Republican News.
  • Removed Urban Grounds, since Robbie Cooper hung up his blogging gloves.
  • Removed Matt S. Dowling, because one post in the last year isn’t cutting it. Sorry, Matt…
  • Updated the link for An American Housewife.
  • Updated the link to SooperMexican.
  • Other notes:

  • I was going to add Sibyl West’s Ramparts 360, but she seems to have dropped off the map.
  • I would add Cahnman’s Musings, except he still hasn’t put up a blogroll…
  • Any Texas blogs I’m missing you think should be up here?

    Blogroll Addition: Legal Insurrection

    Thursday, August 29th, 2013

I’ll be wearing my science fiction hat a lot this week, so expect light posting through Labor Day (and maybe a little beyond).

So instead of Actual Content, I’m going to highlight some new additions to the Blogroll.

First up: Legal Insurrection (or Le·gal In·sur·rec·tion, to use the full, “Hell no I’m not going to type that every time” name), which I’ve linked the occasional tidbit from forever, but only just added to the blogroll. Run by Cornell Law Professor William A. Jacobson, Legal Insurrection covers a wide variety of political topics, legal and otherwise. And he was kind enough to add a link to my post on the #SolidarityIsForWhiteWomen tag to his own post.

He posts frequently on interesting topics, so go over and take a look when you get a chance.

    Updating the Blogroll

    Wednesday, June 13th, 2012

For some reason, I feel a lot more braindead than usual after a one hour bike ride, so today seems like an excellent day to perform that long-contemplated update of the blogroll.

    Today’s additions:

  • Rick Perry vs. the World: You might previously remember Evan from Texas Iconoclast, a local political aggregator until it went into hibernation earlier this year. Now he’s back blogging at this, his original blog. Well worth a look for Texas politics. And speaking of a local political aggregators:
  • Push Junction offers up a forest of Texas political links. Don’t know who runs it, but I’ve grabbed many a link from it.
  • More Lane: National blogger and indefatigable tweeter. He also turns out to share my affection for Peter Gabriel and Ogre (the board game), so he’s obviously a man of taste and discernment…
  • Ann Althouse: Another national blogger I’d frequently read when linked from Instapundit, but one who was absolutely essential for Wisconsin Recall coverage.
  • Michelle Malkin: Still another national blogger I’d read when linked by Instapundit, but more recently she’s not only been a driving force to expose convicted felon Brett Kimberlin, she’s also the Queen of the Conservative Twitterverse, which lead her to launch Twitchy, a Twitter roundup blog, which is also worth checking out.
  • Finally, please note that Blue Dot Blues has moved.
