Regarding honor codes, I graduated from UVA in the last century. You must not cheat and MUST report anyone who you know cheated.
I kept my head down, answer sheet covered like a 12 yo girl in Riyadh during tests and got out as fast as I could.
Honor has a cost. Had a friend caught out and thrown out and knew it was right.
We should expect nothing less from our elected representatives. Very sad that honor is held in such low regard (Clinton, Obama, Biden).

The Russians have incorporated radical, terminal maneuvering into the latest Iskander-M missile flight profile programs. NATO sources said during the Summer it took three $ 4 million Patriot interceptors to achieve a 50% probability of successfully intercepting a $ 400,000 Iskander. Think the same holds true for the Kinzhal and Zircon.

The situation is now much worse:

‘Russia ‘using deadly new missile upgrade’ to bypass Ukraine’s Patriot air defence systems’
A former Ukrainian official described it as a ‘game-changer for Russia’

By Taz Ali in The Independent – 02 October 2025

“Ukraine’s missile interception rate has dropped sharply in recent months, from 37 per cent in August to just 6 per cent in September, the FT reported, citing Ukrainian Air Force data.”

[The FT report is behind a paywall.]

Russia just used their Iskander M missiles to completely destroy DTEK and Naftogaz underground natural gas storage pumping systems in Kharkov and Poltava Oblasts. The facilities are still burning, ferociously. This eliminates two-thirds of Ukraine’s natural gas inventory and prevents any replenishment for the foreseeable future. Temperatures across Ukraine dropped below freezing for the first time on October 1st.

  3. I’ve sometimes wondered if Major League Baseball deliberately plays up the Yankees hate, like a pro-wrestling heel.

Of course, I’m not a baseball fan, so I don’t have any reason to think Yankees detractors are acting out of anything other than natural dislike. I just think it could be something their marketing could use, if they so chose.
